Dutzu (Dragoș DUȚU) is a Transylvanian-born communication specialist, event planner and branding enthusiast. He likes to bring efficiency through people-centered communication. He enjoys reading the latest and greatest about technology and security.
He studied Romanian and English Language and Literature and graduated with a BA in Communication and Public Relations from Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, Romania. His thesis analysed the formation of brand associations in the fragrance industry. During his academic period, he spent two semesters at Artevelde University College Gent, Belgium, where he followed the International Business Management programme and the Module in Communication Management programme. Currently he is preparing his masters’ thesis, focused on the coagulation of millennials around brand values.
During his early academic years, he took part in the first PR internship organised by the Educational Marketing department of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University, where he helped organise several events, among them: Bun venit la UAIC (Welcome to UAIC) - the first large-scale welcome days event organised for freshmen of a Romanian university; honorary-title award ceremonies, open days, etc. His work included the following projects: strategy and content for the University’s facebook page and content creation for 360UAIC.
The most recent project he took part in, was the International Conference on Physics of Advanced Materials (two editions), for whom he did event planning, and was previously a Publicity Assistant for the Iași International Festival of Literature and Translation (FILIT 2014) and a volunteer coordinator for the European Researcers’ Night Iași (2014).
